Obituary of Rita O. Berberich

Rita (nee O'Hara) Berberich died peacefully with her family by her side on Friday October 11, 2019 at her home in Clearbrook, Monroe Twp.  She was 90 years old.

Our mom said, I was given life, that I might enjoy all things. 

To laugh often and love much, to have the affection of children, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to give of one's self; to leave the world a bit better, to have played and laughed with enthusiasm; and to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. She was pre-deceased by her husband Robert D. Berberich in 2017.

She loved and was loved by her son William Berberich and his wife Stephanie of Alexandria VA and their children: Kristen Dvorak and her husband Robert of Alexandria VA, Laura of Washington DC, Sean of Reading PA, and Stephen of Arlington VA; daughter Ann Marcott and her husband Keith of Sheridan WY and their children: Peter and his wife Bailey Cain of San Diego CA, and Rebecca Thies and her husband Luke of Whitefish MT; daughter Margaret Berberich of Bloomfield NY and her children: Brian of Bloomfield NY, and Megan Wolfe, her husband Brian and their son Leighton of Hernando MS; daughter Ellen Smyth and her husband Graham of Poughkeepsie NY and their children: Andrew and his partner Danielle Guarino of Beacon NY, and Jean of Washington DC; daughter Jean Koelsch and her husband Tom of Cherry Hill and their children: Ian of Philadelphia PA, and Madeline, Kevin, and Mary Elizabeth, all of Cherry Hill; daughter Carol Pungello and her husband Mike of Princeton Junction and their children: Rob of Princeton Junction, Allie and her fiance Joe Lavenberg of Hopewell, and Dan of Princeton Junction; daughter Susie Hamilton and her husband Charlie of Clinton NY; and sister-in-law Jeanne O'Hara of Austin TX as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She believed that in the end, it's all about family.

Visitation will be from 9:00am to 10:00am on Thursday October 17, 2019 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp. NJ  08831 – 732-521-0555 – www.demarcofuneralhome.com.  Funeral services will begin at 10:00am on Thursday from the funeral home.  A funeral liturgy will be 11:00am at Queenship of Mary RC Church 16 Dey Rd, Plainsboro Township NJ 08536.  Interment will take place at 2:30pm in Washington Crossing National Cemetery – Newtown PA.
