Obituary of William P. Heller

William P. Heller (“Bill”), 84, passed away on Saturday August 17, 2019 at the Cranbury Center in Monroe Township.  Bill was born in Haskell and raised in Paterson.  He lived in Wayne for most of his adult life before moving to Monroe Township 14 years ago.  He graduated from Seton Hall University in 1957 with a business degree in marketing.   Bill served in the Army National Guard and was activated to duty during the Berlin Crisis in 1961.  He was employed as a Vice President of Sales for Duradex, Inc. in Clifton NJ for approximately 40 years. 

Bill was a wonderful family man who loved nothing more than being surrounded by his wife, children grandchildren and his many extended family members.  He enjoyed cooking and entertaining both at his home and his house at the shore.  Bill also enjoyed warm weather vacations and dining out.  He was a loving kind man who would do anything for others.  He will be deeply missed by all those who loved him and were blessed to have him in their lives. 

Bill was pre-deceased by his son William E. Heller (1992).

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Rosemary (Van Riper) Heller of Monroe Twp. who took wonderful care of him in his final years.  He also leaves behind two daughters: Patricia Heller and her husband Bill Rohs of Monroe Twp. and Lynn Schwalje and her husband Bill of Metuchen, one brother, Jerry Heller and his wife Anne of Wyckoff and his two beloved grandchildren Michael and Renee.  Also surviving are many extended family members and friends.

A memorial gathering will be 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc.,  205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Twp., NJ 08831.  A memorial service will be 12:30 pm during the gathering hours.
