John was born in Plainfield, NJ and grew up in Fanwood, NJ where he lived until 1972 when he moved to South Brunswick Twp., NJ. He purchased his first business in 1968, Edison Generator Exchange in Edison, NJ which was a repair shop specializing in generators and alternators and expanded into Dayton, NJ in 1972, purchasing EG Tire and Auto Repair Center, a complete auto repair facility. In 1986 he opened his third, a parts store in Somerset, NJ called Edison Generator Auto Supply. With this trio, he encompassed all aspects of auto repair. John began his love for racing in the 1960's when he raced his first race car on his own. He started out in the 007 and soon changed it to the iconic blue and white 747. John stopped racing in 1976 to help raise his daughters. He enjoyed camping trips and many family outings. He entered back into the world of racing in 1984 when he became a car owner/sponsor and had never left since. John won many track championships at East Windsor Speedway and New Egypt Speedway and had numerous feature wins with multiple drivers. He was inducted into the GSVSCC hall of fame in 2013 as a car owner. This year was his 55th anniversary year of racing.
