George Nicolacopulos, 78, of Fort Myers, FL Passed away on Sunday November 13th in Florida. George was ill, but never let it stop him from traveling with his partner, Sharon Anttonelli, making new friends and enjoying the warm Florida sun.
Mr. Nicolacopulos was born in Newark and lived in Sayreville and Fords. He has resided in Fort Myers, FL since 2006. He was retired from Coin Depot in Elizabeth.
He was predeceased by his wife of over 50 years, Nancy (Hoffman) Nicolacopulos.
He is survived by his children, George of Flemington, Joseph and his wife Suzanne, and their children, Joseph, and Laura of Jackson, Nancy Prohaska and her husband Mark, and their children, Ava, and Liv of Monroe Twp., and James and his wife Sheri, and their children, Cassie, Matthew, and Katelyn of Canton, GA.
A memorial gathering will be Thursday December 15, 2011 from 6:00-8:30pm at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A memorial service will commence at 8:30pm, following the gathering.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Benjamin Medick "Hope Lodge" (American Cancer Society) 12810 Magnolia Dr. Tampa, FL 33612.
