Monica C. (Gardner) Gusa died Sunday October 30th at home. She was 80 years old. Born in Flushing, Queens, NY, she lived there most of her life, moving to the Clearbrook community in Monroe Township in 1995. While she worked briefly as a clerk for Abatelli Real Estate in Queens in her early married life, she was most proud of being a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord RCC, Monroe Twp., and the American-Italian Club of Clearbrook. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, William E., a son, Dr. William E. Jr., MD and his wife, Carol of Doylestown, PA, a daughter, Denise Jamieson and her husband, Bruce of Ocala, FL, a sister, Julia Abatelli of Commack, NY and three granddaughters, Katherine, Alexandra and Sarah Gusa. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am Wednesday November 2, 2011 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. Interment will follow in Brdg. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. Visitation is Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm at the funeral home. For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Princeton Hospice 208 Bunn Dr. Princeton, NJ 08540.
