Mrs. Bridget (Johnston) Mahoney died on Monday September 26, 2011 at her home in Monroe Twp. She was 75 years old. Mrs. Mahoney was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. She has resided in Monroe Twp. since 1970. She was the Tax Assessor for the Township of Monroe for 22 years before her retirement in 1996. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception RC Church, Spotswood.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph J. Mahoney in 2000.
She is survived by two daughters, Catherine T. Mahoney of Monmouth Junction, and Patricia Williams and her husband Arthur W. of Monroe Twp., one brother-in-law, James Madden of West Keansburg, one sister-in-law, Anna Johnston of Monroe Twp., four grandchildren, Theresa Sciarratta, Joseph Williams, Meghan Williams, and Daniel Williams, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin at 11:45am Friday September 30, 2011 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A funeral liturgy will be 12:30pm at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Spotswood. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the funeral home.
