Mrs. Fanny (Gagliardi) Cartolano died on Thursday September 22, 2011 in Monroe Twp. She was 96 years old. Mrs. Cartolano was born and raised in Brooklyn. She lived in Glendale, Queens for over 50 years and most recently resided in Concordia, Monroe Twp. She was a former parishioner of St. Pancras RC Church in Queens and a current parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. She was a homemaker her entire life. She was pre-deceased by her husband, James in 1975. She is survived by her son, John Cartolano and his wife Emily of Concordia, Monroe Twp., one granddaughter, Barbara Cartolano of NYC, NY, two grandsons, John Cartolano, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Staten Island, NY, and James Cartolano and his wife Jennifer of Staten Island, NY, six great granddaughters, and one great grandson. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am Monday September 26, 2011 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. followed by Interment in Cypress Hills Cemetery, Brooklyn. Visitation will be 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Sunday at the funeral home. For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
