Catello C. Finamore died on Friday September 9, 2011 at Cranbury Center in Monroe Twp. He was 86 years old. Mr. Finamore was born in Castellamare di Stabia, Italy, and came to the US in 1953. He lived in Brooklyn, Old Bridge, and Clearbrook, Monroe Twp. before moving to Encore, Monroe Twp. in 2002. He was a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus in St. James Council #6336. He was a parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. He was a biomedical engineer for the VA Lynons Hospital in Lyons, NJ retiring in 1990.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Angelina (Gaglione) Finamore in 2008.
He is survived by two daughters, Diane Finamore of Monroe Twp. and Jenny Stankewicz and her husband Joseph of Monmouth Junction, one sister, Angelina Somma and her husband Michele of Italy, and four granchildren, Eric Lemberg, Leanne Gassaro, Kristen Stankewicz, and Kevin Stankewicz.
Funeral services will begin at 9:45am Thursday September 15, 2011 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A funeral liturgy will be 10:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. followed by Entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, S. Brunswick.
