Obituary of Leonardus H. LeBrun, Sr.

Leonardus H. LeBrun, Sr. died on Friday September 9, 2011 at Raritan Bay Medical Center-Old Bridge Division. He was 85 years old. Mr. LeBrun was born in The Hague, Netherlands, came to the US in 1950 and settled in Monroe Twp. where he lived for 60 years before moving to Manalapan. He first worked as a dairy farmer for Holland Farm, Monroe Twp. He then served as a purchasing agent and buyer for Louis Lefkowitz Leather Goods in Milltown for 20 years before his retirement in 1981. He then continued his lo9ve of woodworking as a title worker/carpenter for the Concordia and Greenbriar @ Whittinham communities in Monroe Twp. He served over four years as an instructor in the Dutch Army and Special Forces. He was a master masonin the Olive Branch Lodge, F & AM, and was a worthy patron in the Order of the Eastern Star, both in Freehold. He was a former member of the Presbyterian Church of Englishtown. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Willy (Buitenhuis) LeBrun of Manalapan, two sons, Alfred LeBrun and his wife Christine of Manalapan, and Leonardus H. LeBrun, Jr. and his wife Roseann of Toms River, two daughters, Marcie Stout and her husband John of Spring Hill, FL, and Debbie Dorrell and her husband Robert of Delanco, NJ one sister, Elizabeth of Holland, eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be 7-9pm Monday September 12, 2011 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555.
