Obituary of Adele C Lewandowski

Ms. Adele C. Lewandowski died Sunday July 31st at the Gardens at Monroe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 86 years old. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Dunellen for over 40 years before moving to Clearbrook in Monroe Township as one of the first residents, living there for 37 years. She began a 20 year career at New Brunswick Scientific Manufacturing Co. in Edison as an administrative assistant, and retired in 1990 as corporate secretary to the company president. She continued her relationship with the company as a member of the advisory board until 2007. In Clearbrook, she served as mutual president and also as the Chairperson of the Board of Mutual Presidents for several years. An avid world-wide skier, she held a long time membership with the Plainfield Ski Club. She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord RCC, Monroe Twp. She is survived by four nieces, Karen Porrovecchio, Dianne, Suzanne and Kathryn Lewandowski, and her sister in law, Kathryn Lewandowski. Friends and relatives are cordially invited to the funeral liturgy to be celebrated Thursday at 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp. Private cremation will follow, and the cremains will be inurned in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the M.
