Lois M. (Ivins) Schroeder died on July 20, 2011 at her home in Cranbury. She was 89 years old. Mrs. Schroeder was born and raised in Jamesburg and has resided in Cranbury since 1953. She was the oldest living member of the First Baptist Church of Jamesburg until their merge with Calvary Chapel Crossfields in 2010. She was a greenhouse worker for Hagerty's Florist in Cranbury for 31 years before her retirement in 1995. Most important to her was her family and raising her grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband Walter C. in 1981. She is survived by two daughters, Marlyn A. Brown and her husband Chester of Lincoln, DE, and Cheryl L. S. Blackburn and her husband Robert M. of Cranbury, her son, Walter C., Jr. of South Ampton, her daughter-in-law Lynnmarie Wilson of South Ampton, eight grandchildren, Jodie Reha, Timothy Brown, Laura Cahill, Lynne O'Donnell, Walter C., III, Kathleen Mosher, Guy W. Blackburn, and Jessie N. Blackburn, and six great grandchildren. A funeral service will be 11:00am Monday July 25, 2011 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Interment will follow in Fernwood Cemetery, Jamesburg. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the funeral home. For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association PO Box417005 Boston, MA 02241-7005.
