Obituary of Carmelo Casaccio

Carmelo Casaccio died Thursday July 7th at Robert Wood Johnson-University Hospital, Hamilton. He was 90 years old. Born in New York City, he lived in Brooklyn, then moved to Staten Island in 1959, and lived there for 22 years. He retired to Toms River, NJ in 1977 and finally moved to the Clearbrook community in Monroe Township in 2006. He worked for the New York City water department for 26 years, retiring in 1976 as a chief borough inspector.
Rose (Yetta) Casaccio, his wife of 65 years, died on Friday July 8, 2011.
He is survived by his son, Robert and his wife, Linda of Yardville, NJ, his daughter, Maria Pignatelli and her husband, Michael of Millstone, NJ, four grandsons, one step grandson, two great grandsons, and one great granddaughter.
Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Monday July 11, 2011 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Township, NJ. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. Cremation will follow at Holy Cross B.P. Crematory, So. Brunswick.
