Obituary of Anita Pessolano

Anita (LoPinto) Pessolano died on Monday July 4, 2011 at her home in Rossmoor, Monroe Twp, surrounded by her immediate family. She was 75 years of age. Mrs. Pessolano was born and raised in New York City and Goshen, NY. She married her husband, Robert, and together they lived in Stapleton Heights, Staten Island, NY for 38 years before moving to Rossmoor, Monroe Twp. in 1996. She also resided during the winter months in Deltona, FL. After graduating from Cathedral High School, Anita worked for the Irving Trust Co. She was also a specialist clerk, and one of the first females, to work on the floor of the American Stock Exchange. She also worked as an administrative assistant for Community National Bank, S.I., NY. She retired in 1991 as a medical receptionist for Dr. Joanna Pessolano, her niece. She was a member of the Rossmoor Italian-American Club and a parishioner of St. James the Less RC Church, Jamesburg. Anita enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and traveling, especially on cruises. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert A. Pessolano of Rossmoor, Monroe Twp., her son, Joseph Pessolano and his wife Diane of Boston, MA, her daughter, Teresa Muldowney and her husband Ken of Birmingham, AL, her sister, Domenica Pistone of Goshen, NY, six grandchildren, Marc, Craig, and Robert Pessolano, and Michelle, Kimberly, and Nicole Muldowney, and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin at 9:30am on Thursday July 7, 2011 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A funeral liturgy will be 10:00am at St. James the Less RC Church, Jamesburg. Cremation is private. Visitation is Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the funeral home.
