Obituary of Nydia M. Harlan

Nydia M. (Rodriguez) Harlan died on Saturday June 11, 2011 at Centra-State Medical Center in Freehold. She was 67 years old. Mrs. Harlan was born and raised in Guayama, Puerto Rico. She graduated from High School in Germany before returning to Puerto Rico. She came to the US and lived in Mahwah and Basking Ridge before moving Stonebridge, Monroe Twp. in 2006. She was a senior business analyst for Panasonic North America in Secaucus for 36 years before her retirement in 2009. She was pre-deceased by her father, Armando Rodriguez, Sr. and her brother, Armando Rodriguez, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Marvin Harlan of Stonebridge, Monroe Twp. her mother, Obdulia (Martinez) Rodriguez of Gilbert, AZ, her son, Joseph Collazo of Mesa, AZ, her step-daughter, Sheri Harlan of Lubbock, TX, her brother, Armando E. Rodriguez of Arlington, VA, her sister, Miriam Burns and her husband, Douglas of Mooresville, NC, three grandchildren, one great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be 9:30am Friday June 17, 2011 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Interment will follow in Brgd. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. Visitation is Thursday evening from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
