Mrs. Edith B. (Buonocore) Gaylor died Sunday May 22, 2011 at her home in the Monroe Village Assisted Living Complex. She was 95 years old. Born in Jersey City, she lived there for 30 years. Upon her marraige in 1940 to Theodore H. Gaylor by New York City Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia, she set out as the wife of a career military serviceman, living in several interesting and far a-way places. After WW2, she lived in Millville, NJ while her husband was stationed at Ft.Dix for five yers, then Munich, Germany for five years. When her husband retired from active service, she moved to Yeadon, PA while he served as a cilvilian with the Department of the Navy in Philadelphia, until his passing in 1969. She then returned to New Jersey and East Brunswick to be close to her family, and resided there for 13 years. She later lived in the Concordia development in Monroe Twp.for 15 years and finally moved to Monroe Village eight years ago. She was a long time sales associate at the East Brunswick Bridal Salon where she helped many local residents with their bridal needs for over 25 years. Her husband of 29 years, Theodore H died in 1969. Surviving are two sons, Theodore H and his wife, Shellie of Allentown, PA and Steven E. and his wife, Margo of Rochester, NY, three granddaughters, Allison and her husband, Michael, Courtney and Merideth and two great grandchildren, Spencer and Chase. Funeral services will be Tuesday May 24th at 11:45am at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp. Entombment will follow at the Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick, NJ The family will receive friends and relatives from 9:30am until the time of the service.
