Obituary of Dorothy A. Collura

Mrs. Dorothy A. (Sacca) Collura died on Thursday April 27, 2011 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 79 years old. Mrs. Collura was born in St. Benedict, PA. She was raised in New Brunswick and has resided in Jamesburg since 1951. She was co-owner and operator of Collura's Italian American Restaurant in Jamesburg for 25 years before her retirement in 1975. She was a member of the St. James Columbiette's, the American Legion Ladies Auxilliary Star Post 127, and the Jamesburg Seniors. She was a parishioner of St. James the Less RC Church, Jamesburg.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Larrie C. in 2007.
She is survived by two sons, Larrie F. Collura and his wife Linda of Pittsboro, NC, and Anthony F. Collura and his wife Linda of Monroe Twp., two daughters, Bernadette M. Squindo of Monroe Twp., and Dorothea Collura of Monroe Twp., four sisters, Vicki Richter of Endicott, NY, Frances Schultz of Shannon, NC, Angie Trottini of Chester, PA, and Mary Piersanti of Franklin Twp., one brother, Fred Sacca of North Brunswick, six grandchildren, Bernadette, Erin and her husband Byron, Larrie, Tyler, Alicia, and Matthew, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00am on Monday May 2, 2011 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555.
A funeral liturgy will be 10:30am at St. James the Less RC Church, Jamesburg followed by Entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, S. Brunswick. Visitation will be 2-5pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
