Robin L. (Schickler) Carr passed away on Friday November 9, 2018 at her home in East Brunswick. She was 48 years old. Mrs. Carr was born in Brooklyn, NY and was raised in the Colonia section of Woodbridge Twp. Most recently, she resided in East Brunswick. She graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY and worked at various restaurants in the early part of her career. She later was employed by United Airlines in Newark as an executive chef for 22 years. She loved food, traveling, spending time at the beach, and bowling. Most of all, she was a woman who was vibrant, full of life, and fiercely loyal to her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of seven years, Andrew Carr of East Brunswick; two children, Gabriel Paula, and Gabriel Carr; her parents, Robert and Debra (Schneid) Schickler of East Windsor; her mother-in-law, Blanche Carr of Philadelphia; two sisters, Lauren Calmas and her husband Steven of Hoboken, and Meredith Glasser and her husband Aaron of Montclair; three brothers-in-law, Phillip Carr and his wife Erika, Nathaniel Carr and his wife Diane, and Jeffrey Carr and his wife Demetrus; and many other extended family members and friends.
A private cremation is under the direction of the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc.
A memorial service will begin promptly at 2:00pm on Monday November 12, 2018 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555.
