Helen J. (Trupo) Hunte, 80, died on Thursday September 13, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Helen was born in Holley, NY and raised in Hulberton, NY. She attended the University of Rochester, School of Nursing where she obtained her RN license. She lived in various parts of the United States, including New York City before finally settling in Monroe Township in 1969. Helen worked as an RN in various capacities throughout her career and retired from Clearbrook Healthcare Center in Cranbury, NJ. Helen loved to travel and visited many exotic locations in her lifetime. She also loved taking trips to Atlantic City. Helen was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Helen Karmu (2018) and her brother in law, Dennis Bynoe (2017). She is survived by her husband of 55 years, George G. Hunte and her son, George E. Hunte, both of Monroe Twp., her son in law, Dirar Karmu of South River, four brothers: Francis Peter Trupo and his wife Anita of Cuba, NY, Thomas Trupo of Waterport, NY, John Trupo and his wife Catherine of Holley, NY and Michael A. Trupo and his wife Susan of Rochester, NY, one sister, Mary T. Lord and her husband Gerald of Hilton, NY, one sister in law, Eileen Bynoe of Manalapan, NJ and two granddaughters: Emma A. Hunte and Lauren A. Hunte. Also surviving are many adoring nieces, nephews and extended family members. A funeral liturgy will be 10:15am on Monday September 17, 2108 at Immaculate Conception RC Church - 23 Manalapan Rd., Spotswood, NJ 08884 followed by entombment in Marlboro Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum - 361 Highway 79, Morganville, NJ 07751. In lieu of flowers and for those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception School - 23 Manalapan Rd., Spotswood, NJ 08884 - www.icsspotswood.org.
