Obituary of Frank James LaPlace

Frank James La Place Frank James La Place, 89, died on Tuesday September 4, 2018 at his residence in Lakewood Ranch, FL. Frank was born in New York, New York. He resided in Monroe Township, NJ before moving to Lakewood Ranch, FL in 2016. Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War Frank was employed by Macy’s and worked as a computer operations manager for 10 years, retiring in 1992. His prior work experience encompassed computer programming and operations for various manufacturing firms in New Jersey and New York. Frank was a communicant of St. James the Lesser RC Church, where he volunteered as a lector for many years. He was also an avid golfer. Prior to moving to Monroe Township he resided in South River, NJ and attended Corpus Christi RC Church. He was active in many parish activities including the St.Vincent de Paul Society and CYO. Frank is preceded in death by his wife Sylvia (Rinko) La Place (1994), and his sister Mary LaPlace. Frank is survived by his daughter, Pamela Szabo and her husband John of Lakewood Ranch, FL., two granddaughters, Laura Szabo of Henderson, NV, and Katherine Szabo Glotfelty and her husband Robert of Baltimore, MD., brother, Dr. Michael LaPlace and his wife Clare of Normandy Beach, NJ, sister, Carmel Loprano, of Livingston, NJ, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831. Funeral services will begin at 10:30am on Wednesday September 12, 2018 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 11am on Wednesday at St. James the Less RC Church - 36 Lincoln Ave., Jamesburg, NJ 08831 followed by interment in St. James Parish Cemetery.
