Obituary of Frances Verb

Frances Verb, 95, joined the Lord, her husband, son, and daughter the morning of Thursday, 3 May 2018. Her passage was peaceful and swift, arranged with the utmost care of loved ones. Fran was born in New Brunswick, NJ on March 16, 1923, was raised, as well as raised her family in Helmetta, NJ. She also went on to reside in Lavallette, NJ for many years and Georgetown, SC for her final ones. Aside from being a Matriarch of the Verb Family, Fran was a leader in her community and well known for her generosity. She was the first female official to serve Helmetta in any capacity, which happened to be on the Board of Education. Serving for 15 years, she ushered in health policy well ahead of its time, which included vaccines and reproductive education. She was a Courtesy Care volunteer for almost twenty years for the Northern Ocean Hospital System, which involved comforting patients and coordinating their needs with the Clergy.
Frances is preceded in death by her husband John Verb, as well as her two children John and Marie.
Frances is survived by; her granddaughter Stephanie Verb, grandson Gregori Verb wife Cara Williams-Verb, and great-granddaughter Eliana Marie Verb of Somerville, NJ. As well as her Son in Law David Hamilton and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9am to 10am on Wednesday May 9, at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home Inc., 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Township, NJ 08831. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Saints Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, South River on Wednesday May 9, 2018 at 11am. Followed by interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Monroe Township, NJ.
