Jwu-Sheng Tung, 79, died on Thursday April 26, 2018 at his residence in Monroe Township, NJ. Born in China, Jwu-Sheng was raised and resided in Taiwan before coming to the United States. In the U.S. he resided in Berkeley, CA; New York City; Freehold, NJ; Plainsboro, NJ; then Monroe Township, NJ. Jwu-Sheng received his Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Chemistry from National Taiwan University; he received his Master’s Degree in Nutritional Science and his PHD in Molecular Biology from U.C. Berkeley. He was employed by Merck as a research scientist for many years, retiring in 2003. Jwu-Sheng had many interests and hobbies, which included painting, playing his guitar, karaoke, and writing.
Jwu-Sheng is preceded by his sister, who passed away in 2005.
Jwu-Sheng is survived by his loving wife Alice Tung of Monroe Township, NJ, his son, Greg Tung and his wife Jayme Lim of Sherman Oaks, CA, and his daughter, Angela Tung of New York, New York.
Visitation will be 2-4pm on Tuesday May 1, 2018 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831. Cremation is private.
