Obituary of Vincent Asciolla

Vincent Asciolla, 82, died on Thursday February 15, 2018 at his home in Monroe Twp. Vincent was born and raised in Brooklyn. He resided in Staten Island before moving to New Jersey in 1985 upon his retirement. He attended a 4 year college in Brooklyn on a full baseball scholarship. Vincent was employed by the City of New York for 30 years and worked his way up the ranks, first as a Fireman then a Fire Marshall and finally retired as Supervisor Fire Marshall in 1985. Vincent was a faithful NY Yankees fan, he loved golfing and playing cards but most of all he loved to be around his family. He was the Best Papa Ever. Vincent was preceded in death by his daughter, Celeste Reilly (2004) and five brothers: Frankie Asciolla, Chester Asciolla, Alfred Asciolla, Albert Asciolla and John Asciolla. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Annabelle (Gerber) Asciolla of Monroe Twp., three sons: Vincent Asciolla and his wife Gina of Helmetta, Peter Asciolla and his wife Liz of Kendall Park and Thomas Asciolla and his wife Laura of Monroe Twp., his daughter Tonya Muller and her husband Ray of Barnegat, twelve grandchildren: James Reilly and his wife Becky, Joseph Reilly, Jillian Asciolla, Thomas Asciolla, Peter Asciolla, Rebecca Muller, Michael Asciolla, Amanda Muller, Taylor Asciolla, Brianne Asciolla, Gianna Asciolla and Olivia Asciolla and one great granddaughter, Scarlette Anne Reilly. Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Sunday February 18, 2018 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home - 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 - 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am on Monday February 19, 2018 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 1:00 pm at St. Mary’s Parish - 747 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ 08005 followed by entombment in White Cedars Memorial Park - Manahawkin.
