Obituary of Kirk M. McKay

Kirk Michael McKay, 48, of Hamilton, NJ, died January 26 of metastatic colon cancer.
Kirk was born to Susan and Michael McKay, June 22, 1969, in Buffalo, NY.
Kirk received a BA in English from Rutgers University in 1991, the same year he married his dear wife, Cheryl Kramer.
Kirk enjoyed his work as a medical editor for 24 years. He most recently worked at MJH Associates, Inc, where he had the pleasure of working with exceptional people.
Kirk enjoyed his time as a member of the United Methodist Church of Cranbury and as a member of the Cranbury Repertory Company.
Kirk is survived by his wife and soulmate, Cheryl; his parents, Susan and Michael; his sister, Kimberly; his 2 parents in law; his 2 sisters in law; his 4 brothers in law; his 10 nieces and nephews; his 6 great nieces and nephews; and his 3 cats.
Although Kirk wished he had had more time here, he had a wonderful life and left with a heart full of the greatest gifts of the human experience, especially love and gratitude, thanks to God and all the wonderful people Kirk knew (Yes, this includes you reading this right now).
A Celebration of Life will be held 11 am Saturday, February 3, at St. Mark United Methodist Church, 465 Paxson Ave., Hamilton, NJ. Rev. John M. Foster will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK; trentonsoupkitchen.org) or to Pet Rescue of Mercer (petrescueofmercer.org), 2 of Kirk’s favorite charities.
