Obituary of John T. 'Jack' Croake

John T. ‘Jack’ Croake, Jr. died on Sunday January 21, 2018 at Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack. He was 73 years old. Jack was born in Brooklyn and was raised in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan. He has resided in Rossmoor, Monroe Twp. since 2000. He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Sandoval during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He owned and operated his own trucking company, Adept Trans out of Monroe Twp. for many years until his retirement in 2014. He was an avid sports fan and followed the New York Football Giants, the New York Yankees, and the New York Rangers.
He is survived by his son, Sean Croake and his wife Jamie of Glen Rock, two grandchildren, Shayne Thomas, and Devin Silvia, two brothers, Thomas Croake and his wife Linda of Monroe Twp., and Donald Croake and his wife Marilyn of LI, NY, his former wife and very close friend, Sylvia Marks of Fort Lee, and many other extended family members.
Visitation will be 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Thursday January 25, 2018 and from 8:15am to 8:45am on Friday January 26, 2018 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 - 732-521-0555 - www.demarcofuneralhome.com. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Friday January 26, 2018 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp., followed by Interment in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
