Louis Magnotti, beloved husband, father, brother, son, and friend to many died on January 17, 2018.
Born in the Bronx, New York, he was raised on Staten Island, New York and lived there for almost 50 years before moving to Monroe Township, New Jersey.
He graduated from the prestigious Stuyvesant High School at age 16 followed by St. John’s University as a pharmacist. He had a successful business career owning and operating Dongan Hills Pharmacy on Staten Island and working as a supervising pharmacist in hospitals and multiple other pharmacies on Staten Island.
He was very active in the Boy Scouts, Mid-Island Babe Ruth league, and other civic and social organizations. Also, as an avid Yankee fan, he watched almost every game with his beloved wife, Mary. He enjoyed playing the trombone, bowling, travelling, especially cruises, playing cards, socializing with friends, and life in general. One of his great passions was to help people, including working with Father John Servodidio and volunteering as a drug counselor. His zest for life was immeasurable and he was a great friend and mentor to many.
Beloved son of the late Alfred and Josephine (Codispoti) Magnotti, he is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Mary, son Michael, daughter Laura, daughter-in-law, Rose and brothers Ralph and Joseph as well as nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Visitation will be from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Friday January 19, 2018 and from 8:15am to 8:45am on Saturday January 20, 2018 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Twp., NJ 08831. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Saturday from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp., NJ followed by Entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick, NJ.
