Obituary of Frank A. Giubileo

Frank A. Giubileo died on Sunday December 24, 2017 at Silver Care Center in Cherry Hill. He was 73 years old. Mr. Giubileo was born in Mount Vernon, NY. He was raised in the Throgs Neck section of the Bronx and lived there for many years until moving to The Renaissance at Monroe in 2005. He was a 1967 graduate of Hunter College in New York and was a business analyst for IBM in NYC for 30 years before his retirement in 1994. Upon retirement, he taught grammar school for five years. He went on to become the bursar of the continuing education department for the New York Botanical Gardens. He volunteered at the Renaissance Clubhouse Deli and later became their best customer. He was a member of the Italian American Club, and the Men’s Club of Renaissance. He enjoyed collecting stamps and antiquing. He was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus at St. Benedict’s RC Church Council #11590, Bronx, NY. He was a current member of the Nativity of Our Lord RC Church and member of their K of C Council #14658.
He was predeceased by his son, Eric F. Giubileo, and his sister, Vicky Marino.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mitza (Fuster) Giubileo of The Renaissance at Monroe, his son, Philip A. Giubileo and his wife Tina of Stratford, CT, his sister, Frances Surino and her husband Howard of the Bronx, NY, four grandchildren, Joseph, Jack, Anna, and Bianca, his daughter-in-law, Kim Giubileo of Staten Island, one niece, two nephews, and many dear cousins with whom he was very close.
Visitation will be 2-6pm on Wednesday January 3, 2018 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. There will be a Catholic Blessing beginning at 5:30pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. A private Cremation will take place on Thursday.
Please be advised that there will be a Memorial Mass to be scheduled at a later date. The Memorial Mass will be held in New York followed by Entombment of Frank's Cremated Remains in St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
