Obituary of Gertrude Lenci

Gertrude ‘Trudy’ Lenci, 81, of The Regency, Monroe Township, died on Thursday December 21, 2017 at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick. Trudy was born and raised in Brooklyn. She raised her children in Bay Shore, LI, Chicago, IL and Basking Ridge, NJ. Trudy worked as a bank teller before being promoted to an assistant branch manager in the banking industry prior to retiring. She has resided in The Regency, Monroe Twp. since 2002 where she was a member of the Italian American Club and Women’s Club. She enjoyed playing mahjong and canasta, but above all else, Trudy loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them. Trudy is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Mario Lenci of Monroe Twp., her son, Paul Lenci and his wife Susan of Denville, two daughters: Denise Lenci and her husband Bruce Beckwith of Long Beach, LI and Frances Lenci and her husband Steven Cosentino of New York, NY and one granddaughter, Hilary Beckwith and many other extended family members. Visitation will be 7-9pm on Tuesday December 26, 2017 and 2-4 & 7-9pm on Wednesday December 27, 2017 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Thursday December 28, 2017 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am at St. James the Less RC Church - 36 Lincoln Ave., Jamesburg, NJ 08831 followed by interment in Brigadier General William C.
