Obituary of Leonard Zivin

Leonard G. Zivin, 74, of Monroe Twp. died on Tuesday November 28, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Leonard was born and raised in Brooklyn. He moved to Monroe Township in 1969 and has resided there ever since. Leonard was employed as an Environmental Compliance Officer for Mobil Chemical Corp. in Edison for 25 years and then as a Zoning Officer for the Township of Monroe for 10 years. He loved fishing, traveling and sports. Leonard is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Harriet (Persikoff) Zivin of Monroe Twp., his son, Joshua Graff Zivin and his wife Erin of Solana Beach, CA, his daughter, Tracy Zivin-Tutela, MD and her husband Rocco Tutela, MD of East Brunswick, his sister, Norma Lepselter of Coconut Creek, FL, his sister in law, Lisa Laurier and her husband David of Gloucester, VA and five grandchildren: Sebastian & Roman Tutela and Simon, Miles & Elias Graff-Zivin. A funeral service will begin at 10:30am on Friday December 1, 2017 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Interment will take place following the service at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge. The family will sit Shiva at the Zivin home on Saturday December 2, 2017 from 6-8pm, Sunday December 3, 2017 from 1-7pm and Monday December 4, 2017 from 4-7pm.
