Obituary of Karoline F. Shahinian

Karoline F. (Turke) Shahinian died on Sunday November 26, 2017 at her home in Monroe Twp. She was 87 years old. Mrs. Shahinian was born in Brun, Czechoslovakia. She was raised in Vienna, Austria, came to the US in 1947 and settled in Wisconsin. She has resided in Monroe Twp. since 1955. She was employed for many years by Turner Tubes in Cranbury before working as a custodian at Monroe Twp. High School. Her world revolved around her family and she did anything and everything for them. She was pre-deceased by her husband Sam in 2013, two children, Michael in 2015, and Rosemarie David in 2010, one grandson, Sarkis Shahinian, Jr. in 2009, her son-in-law, Bob Carroll in 2011, her daughter-in-law, Jerlyn Greulich in 2017, and two sisters, Trudy and Erica. She is survived by six children, Pat Carroll of Howell, Karoline Breese and her husband Ken of Monroe Twp., Jennifer Shahinian and her husband Ed Kulesa of Monroe Twp., Sarkis Shahinian of York, SC, Karl Shahinian of Howell, and Mark Shahinian and his wife Bonnie Granitski of Helmetta, one brother, Franz Turke of Austria, one daughter-in-law, Doris Shahinian of Toms River, one son-in-law, Ronald David of Florida, 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, her loving companion, Lucky, and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. Visitation will be from 6-9pm on Thursday November 30, 2017 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A funeral service will begin at 8:15pm during the visiting hours at the funeral home. Cremation is private.
