Gerard Somers was my Organ Teacher for over 10 years. The last time I spoke with him was when I joined the USN in 1974 right after HS graduation. In those days he taught piano and organ at his home in Colonia. He not only taught me he taught my Dad also. He was such a Great Loving man. He definately impacted my life to this day. I know he left us in 2017 however I just learned this today. He had so much talent. He even taught the pros. I also remember him playing in the White Birch Bar in MPT. He should have been playing in Carnegie Hall. He was definately great enough to teach at Juliard and Manhatten schools of music. God Bless your entire family.

I just learned of Gerard's passing. Like others who have commented, we knew him through his piano tuning. He was so incredibly talented and kind, and our family is saddened to hear that he is gone. Our deepest condolences.

I just called for my annual piano tuning and got the disconnected message. So I decided to google Jerry's name. I was sadden to find out that he passed away probably right after seeing him in July 2017. He was a very sweet person full of love and life. I was hoping to win the lottery and split it with him. My condolences to his family and friends, he will be missed.

I realized a few weeks ago I had not heard from Gerard for my annual piano tuning. He has been tuning my piano for 15 years in Monroe Township.I finally called his number and discovered it disconnected. I decided today to google his name, afraid of what I might find and sure enough I sadly found his obituary. I always looked forward to his visits. He loved to talk politics, especially about Trump. He told me last September that he was going to win. I had looked forward to talking to him this year about the big upset! He was a great person. My deepest condolences to his entire family and friends. He will be missed.

Please accept my condolences. May you find comfort in the fond memories of your loved family member. The Bible also offers words of comfort during times of bereavement. 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4 states God will comfort us in all our trials.
