Obituary of Rosina M. Taverna

Rosina M. (Tardo) Taverna died on Saturday July 22, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 84 years old. Mrs. Taverna was born in Prospect Park Brooklyn. She lived most of her life in the Marine Park section of Brooklyn before moving to Concordia, Monroe Twp. in 2013. She was an insurance underwriter for AIG in New York City and retired in 1990. She was a member of the Corral Club of Concordia. She was a former member of St. Columba RC Church in Brooklyn where she volunteered her time as an active parishioner and was a current member of Nativity Of Our Lord RC Church in Monroe Twp.
She was predeceased by her husband, Felix Taverna in 1990.
She is survived by three children, Donald J. Stanley and his wife Elizabeth of Palm Bay, FL, Barbara Mollica of Monroe Twp., Diane Aiello and her husband Christopher of Rockaway Park, NY, and Theresa Taverna of Cornelius, NC, three siblings, Pat Tardo of Toms River, Josephine Sidoti of Monroe Twp., and Mary Ayling of Brooklyn, 11 grandchildren, Melanie and her husband Shevik, Janine, Joanna, Nicole, Michelle, Angela, Christopher, Samantha, Ann Marie, Dennis, and Irina, six great grandchildren, Eleanor, Evan, Jayden, Elian, Amy, and Adam, and many other extended family members.
Visitation will be from 7-9pm on Monday evening July 24, 2017, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Tuesday July 25, 2017, and from 8:00am-8:45am on Wednesday July 26, 2017 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc., 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Wednesday July 26, 2017 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. followed by Interment in Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan, NJ.
