Obituary of Minnie Flatley

Minnie (Calder) Flatley, 86, died on Tuesday July 4, 2017 at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. Minnie was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland. She came to the US in 1954 and settled in West New York, NJ. She later lived in North Bergen, West Carteret, Avenel, Robbinsville and has resided in Rossmoor, Monroe Twp. since 2011. Minnie was a cake decorator in Scotland and she worked as a physical therapy aid at a Veterans home here in the US. She liked to travel and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Minnie was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Flatley (2017). She is survived by her three children, Donald Flatley and his wife Josephine of Monmouth Junction, Janet Costi and her husband Moisis of Monroe Twp., and Lauren Frye and her husband Jack of Charleston, SC, six grandchildren, Jillian and her husband Chris, Allison, Ross, Heather, C.J., and Kristofer, one great granddaughter, Kaylah, and many nieces and nephews in Scotland. Cremation is private. A memorial gathering will be from 12-2pm on Saturday July 22, 2017 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. A memorial service will begin at 1:00pm during the gathering hours at the funeral home.
