Jacqueline Scavone, nee Riddle, beloved wife, mother and grandmother died peacefully on June 5th. Jacqueline was born on November 29, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY. She lived for 25 years in Waldwick, NJ where she raised her family before relocating to Monroe Township, NJ in 1985 where she has been an active member of any social event that involved cards, mahjong, golf or simply enjoying pleasant company, as long as it did not interfere with time she could spend with her children or grandchildren.
Jacqueline was predeceased by her sister, Ethel Bogdanowich.
She is survived by her husband, Carmine Scavone, her two sons, Robert Scavone of Hoboken, NJ and Daniel Scavone and his wife Cecelia of Belle Meade, NJ and daughter, Judy Slotkin and her husband Todd, of New York City as well as nine grandchildren, Kelly, Matthew, Christopher, Susan, William, Alexandra, Thomas, Peter and Nicole, and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be from 7-9pm on Thursday June 8, 2017 and from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Friday June 9, 2017 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc., 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Saturday June 10, 2017 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. followed by Interment in St. Luke's RC Church Cemetery, Ho-Ho-Kus.
