Joanne (Imperiale) Murphy died on Thursday June 1, 2017 at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 72 years old. Mrs. Murphy was born in Camby, MN. She lived most of her life in Brooklyn and Staten Island before moving to The Regency, Monroe Twp. in 2009. She was a banker for JP Morgan Chase in New York City for 43 years and retired in 2007 as First Vice President. She was a member of the Italian American Club, Bronx Club, Women's Bowling Club, and the Ladies Who Lunch Club all of The Regency. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and was a parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Christopher J. Murphy, her sister, Angela Allen and her husband Richard of Parlin, two brothers, one brother-in-law, Richard Murphy of Monroe, NY, two sisters-in-law, Kathleen Fee of Staten Island, NY, and Patricia Varipapa and her husband Dominick of Fort Mills, SC, and many other extended family members and dear friends. Visitation will be from 3:00pm to 6:00pm on Sunday June 4, 2017 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc., 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Monday June 5, 2017 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. followed by Entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, South Brunswick. For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
