Obituary of Jean L. Crawford

Jean L. (Osso) Crawford, 89, of Monroe Twp. died on Monday May 22, 2017 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Jean was born and raised in Brooklyn. After marrying her husband Richard, and with Dana and Trina at the ages of 5 and 3, they relocated to Indonesia and Libya. They returned to the US, settling in Long Island and briefly in Dallas, TX before moving to Monroe Twp. to be close to their daughters where they resided for the past 20 years. Jean worked as a secretary in the guidance office for the Long Island School System and for the President of DeVry University in Dallas while also being a homemaker. Jean's greatest passion were her 5 grandchildren and her extended family who she loved greatly. She will always be remembered as an amazing cook. Jean was preceded in death by her husband Richard James Crawford (2013) and two brothers, Frank and Armando. She is survived by her two daughters: Dana Lewis and her husband, Russell of Ocean and Trina Childs and her husband, Chad of Westfield, one brother, Rocky Osso and his wife, Bobbi of Staten Island, one sister, Ann Pagliaro and her husband, Carmine of West Windsor, one sister in law, Arlene Crawford of Franklin Park and five grandchildren: Danielle, Timothy, Kyle, Celia and Ryan. Visitation will be 6-9pm on Wednesday May 24, 2017 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. A funeral liturgy will be 11am on Thursday May 25, 2017 at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church – 185 Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 followed by interment in Holy Cross Burial Park – South Brunswick.
