Salvatore C. Guastella, Jr. – Clearbrook, Monroe Township, NJ
Salvatore C. Guastella Jr., 85, died on Tuesday May 2, 2017 at his residence with his loving family by his side. Salvatore was born in Brooklyn, NY and resided in Long Island and New Jersey. He was a graduate of Brooklyn College and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Salvatore was interested in many things and was well versed on many subjects. He was a prolific reader, a crossword puzzle expert, an opera enthusiast and an avid poker player. Most importantly, Salvatore cherished the time he spent with his family.
Salvatore is preceded in death by his daughter Stephanie Guastella (2005).
Salvatore is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Doris (Livolsi) Guastella of Clearbrook, Monroe Township, NJ, two sons: Salvatore Gustella and his wife Mary Grace of Middletown, NJ, Robert Vanderlofske and his wife Karen of Hamburg, NJ, three daughters: Charlette Rose Guastella of Port Richard, WA., Donna Piazza and her husband Frank of Somerville, NJ, Diane Schuman and her husband Gary of Somerville, NJ, his sister Joanna Novello and her husband Leonard of Hastings, NY, two sister in laws: Andrea Kozlowsky and her husband Richard of East Setauket, NY, Bonnie Livolsi of Oceanside, CA., eleven grandchildren: Amanda and her husband Steve, Angela, Peter, Jaclyn, Kyra, Kyle, Samantha, Michael, Nicholas, Frankie and Kelly and his niece Kathryn. Also surviving are his beloved cousins and many friends.
Memorial Gathering will be from 10am to 1pm on Friday May 5, 2017 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A Catholic Blessing will begin at 1pm at the funeral home.
