Obituary of Martin Michael Heaney

Martin M. Heaney (Michael) of Dayton, NJ, passed away on Friday, April 21. He was 85 years old.
Michael was born in Islip Terrace, NY, and spent most of his life in Brooklyn and Queens, NY. He retired from Pfizer, Inc. in 1993 after nearly 40 years of dedicated service.
Michael proudly served his country in the United States Navy on the USS Philippine Sea CV-47 during the conflict in Korea in the early 1950s. In 1952, he married Mary Kopp, also of Brooklyn, and the couple went on to have three daughters: Maureen Adamski, Michele Arora, and Susan Reimann.
Michael was preceded in death by Mary and Michele. He is survived by Maureen and Susan, as well as his 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends and family will remember him for his warm demeanor, his emphatic sense of humor, and his talent as a prolific storyteller.
All are invited to pay their respects to Michael on Tuesday April 25, 2017 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 10:00am on Wednesday April 26, 2017 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 10:30am at St. Cecilia's RC Church, Monmouth Junction followed by Entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, S. Brunswick.
