Obituary of Anthony "Tony" Dippolito

Anthony "Tony" Dippolito, resident of Greenbriar at Whittingham, and one of Monroe Township's top bridge players, died in his sleep on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the age of 80.
Tony is husband to Inge (for almost 60 years), father to Andrew and Thomas, and grandfather to Kaitlyn, Alessandra, Michael and Jake. He is survived by his younger brother Austin, younger sister Regina and his bridge partner Don.
Tony was born on May 9, 1936 in Corona, Queens. He was named after his grandfather who immigrated to the United States from Baucina, Sicily in 1897. Tony was a US Army veteran and graduate of Automotive High School in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Cars and trucks were a big part of Tony's life. He helped build a limousine business that catered to the rich and famous. He chauffeured countless celebrities such as Bette Davis, Grace Kelly, Jimmy Connors, and Geraldo Rivera.
Twenty-five years of retirement provided Tony much time to pursue hobbies and passions including bridge, golf, tennis, pickleball, and Lego. He was a huge fan of Judge Judy and the New York Mets. Tony's extensive travel included safari in Africa, heli-hiking in the Canadian Rockies, island hopping in Hawaii, and cruising to Alaska and the Caribbean.
There will be a celebration of life at 11:00AM on Saturday April 22 at M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Township, NJ 08831.
