Obituary of Elena Prozorova

Elena Prozorova, 81, of Monroe Twp., died on Wednesday March 29, 2017 at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City. Elena was born in Ufa, Russia and came to the United States in 2009 from Moscow. She worked in the oil development industry in Russia as a geologist for over 30 years until her retirement in 1991. Elena was very good at math and loved intellectual challenges and solving all types of puzzles. She was very interested in politics both in the US and in Russia. She also enjoyed walking outside around her community. Elena was preceded in death by her husband, George Sudakov (2012), two brothers: Matthew Prozorov and Nicholas Prozorov and one sister, Galina Pugacheva. She is survived by her son, Alexander Sudakov and his wife Eleanor of Monroe Twp., one sister, Lidia Masutina of Ufa, Russia, one granddaughter, Maria Voller and her husband Joseph of Princeton and one great granddaughter, Katarina Voller. Visitation will be 2-4pm on Sunday April 2, 2017 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 9 am on Monday April 3, 2017 from the funeral home. A funeral service will be 10 am at St. Vladimir Russian Orthodox Memorial Church – 134 Perrineville Rd., Jackson, NJ 08527 followed by interment in St. Vladimir Russian Orthodox Church Cemetery – Jackson.
