Obituary of Marie L. Guarino

Marie L. (Viola) Guarino – 91 – Monroe Twp. Marie L. (Viola) Guarino, 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 22, 2017 at her home in Monroe Township with her loving caregiver by her side. Marie was born in Brooklyn and resided in Queens and Staten Island most of her life before moving to Monroe Township in 1991. She was employed by Morgan Stanley and worked on Wall Street for many years. Marie along with her husband were members of the American Legion Post 522. Marie loved music, crocheting and playing games at the Greenbriar Senior Center and with her friends at home. She was skilled in craft making and the art of making beautiful collages. What made Marie the happiest and most proud was her family. She loved her children and enjoyed being with them, listening and singing to tapes she and her husband made in a music studio when they were young. Memories of family vacations, pictures and audio tapes of her children and grandchildren gave her great joy. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Guarino (2006) and her brother, Dominic A. Viola (1988). She is survived by her son, George Guarino and his wife Laura of Belvidere, her daughter, Arleen Kuehn of Novi, MI, four grandchildren: Jillian Hysolli and her husband Arian, Brittania Kuehn, Charlotte Tribbett and her husband Rob and George Guarino, III and two great granddaughters: Ariana and Alyssa. Visitation will be 9:00-10:00 A.M. on Monday March 27, 2017 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. A Christian funeral mass will follow at 10:30 A.M. at St. James the Less RC Church – 36 Lincoln Ave., Jamesburg, NJ 08831. A private interment service for her family and close friends will be in Queens at Maple Grove Cemetery – Kew Gardens, NY.
