Obituary of Anthony J. Santomauro

Anthony J. Santomauro – 88 – Monroe Twp. Anthony J. Santomauro, 88, passed away on Monday March 20, 2017 at home in Monroe Twp. Anthony was born in Brooklyn and lived there for most of his life. He was employed by MetLife as an insurance salesman for 30 years until his retirement in 1996. Anthony loved cooking, eating, gardening, music and coloring. He was an avid NY Mets fan and most of all enjoyed spending time with his beloved family. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Michele and Mary Santomauro, his wife, Gilda Santomauro, his son in law, Edward Cosimo, two brothers: Joseph Santomauro who died during WWII and John Santomauro and two sisters: Candida Gigante and Phyllis Sarlo. He is survived by his three daughters: Michelle Cosimo of Middletown, Denise Dell'Olio and her husband Angelo of Washington Twp. and Maria Granda and her husband Lou of Monroe Twp. and four grandchildren: Jena Cosimo and her husband Robert Mahoney, Nikki and Jaclyn Dell'Olio and Michael Granda. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9pm on Thursday March 23, 2017 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Friday March 24, 2017 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church – 185 Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 followed by interment in Moravian Cemetery – Staten Island
