Obituary of Leon Grabias

Leon Grabias, 82, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at his home in South River, NJ. He leaves behind his wife Czeslawa Grabias; his daughter & son-in-law Teresa & Ronald Rogalski; his four grandchildren, Tomasz, Lukasz, Lisa, Kim, and two great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his loving daughter Aleksandra "Ola" Madej. Leon was born and raised in Poland, and later became a lifelong resident of South River, NJ. In Poland he worked as a commercial fisherman and later in the U.S. he worked at Algro Knitting Mills in Milltown, NJ & then at Sunshine Biscuits in Sayreville, NJ until his retirement. He was a hard-working man who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who were the highlight of his life. A memorial gathering will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday March 23, 2017 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A memorial service will take place at 7:30pm during the gathering hours at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Poland at a later date.
