Dorothy G. (Gray) Janowski, 100, died on Friday March 3, 2017 at her residence in Monroe Twp. Dorothy was born in Freehold and grew up in Spotswood before moving to Monroe Twp. in 1940. She was a homemaker and often helped her husband run events at the Liberty Ballroom in South River. Dorothy was an avid reader, loved shopping and was a world traveler. She especially enjoyed cruises. Most of all Dorothy loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard A. Janowski (1999) and her son, Leonard C. Janowski (2004).
She is survived by her son, Brad Janowski and his wife Phyllis of Dripping Springs, TX, her daughter, Lorraine LaMont and her husband Richard of Monroe Twp., seven grandchildren: Bridget Muir, Kimberly Skye, Leonard Janowski, Michelle Dolan, Ami Reinstein, Nicole Klus and Bradley Janowski and fourteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2-4pm & 7-9pm on Monday March 6, 2017 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555 – www.demarcofuneralhome.com. A Catholic blessing will be 10am on Tuesday March 7, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery – East Brunswick.
