Obituary of Anne Certo

Anne R. (de Lhery) Certo, 61, of Monroe Twp. died on Monday February 6, 2017 at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold. Anne, lovingly known as Nancy, was born in New York, NY and resided in Old Bridge for most of her life before moving to Staten Island and finally Monroe Twp., 17 years ago. Nancy was a graduate of St. Ambrose School in Old Bridge in 1970 and St. Mary's High School in South Amboy, Class of 1974. She was a paraprofessional in the Monroe Twp. School System for 9 years, working at Brookside School, Monroe Twp. Middle School and finally Monroe Twp. High School as well as being a homemaker and raising her two children. Nancy loved history, cooking and had a tremendous sense of humor. She had a passion for teasing her friends and getting the "scoop". Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Bob Certo, her son Bobby Certo and her daughter Justine Certo, all of Monroe Twp., two brothers: Vincent de Lhery and his wife Joanne of Cliffside Park and Michael de Lhery of Monroe Twp., two sisters: Joanie Cyhan and her husband George of Newark, DE and Monica Galianese and her husband Jimmy of Colts Neck and two grandchildren: Vincent and Dolcie. Visitation will be from 4-9pm on Thursday February 9, 2017 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ, 08831 – (732) 521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Friday February 10, 2017 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church – 185 Applegarth Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 followed by Committal and Cremation at Holy Cross Burial Park Crematory Chapel – South Brunswick.
