Ann (Gianfortune) Saer, 75, of Monroe Twp. died on Thursday January 12, 2017. Ann was born in the Bronx and resided in Staten Island for most of her life before moving to Clearbrook, Monroe Twp. in 2005. She was a bank training instructor for Richmond County Savings Bank in Staten Island, retiring in 2003. Ann was a member of the Italian American Club and Bocce Club of Clearbrook. She enjoyed bowling and trips to Atlantic City.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband Anthony H. Saer (2013), her daughter, Ann Marie Saer (1981) and her brother, Nicholas Gianfortune.
She is survived by her daughter, Toni Saer-Treglia and her husband Michael of Monroe Twp., two granddaughters: Brianna and Francesca Treglia, four brothers: John Gianfortune of Las Vegas, NV, Robert Gianfortune and his wife Joan of New Hope, PA, Alan Gianfortune and his wife Kim of Staten Island, and Barry Gianfortune and his wife Debbie of Staten Island, five sisters: Janet Gianfortune and her partner Sue Minister of Apoka, FL, Frances O'Brien of Deerfield Beach, FL, Kay Carbonaro and her husband Michael of Staten Island, Carol Schneider and her husband James of Las Vegas, NV and Linda Coppola and her husband James of Port Ewen, NY, one sister-in-law, Eleanor Gianfortune of Danbury, CT, and many other extended family members.
Visitation will be from 1-5pm on Sunday January 15, 2017 and 2-4pm & 7-9pm on Monday January 16, 2017 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555 – www.demarcofuneralhome.com. Funeral services will begin at 9:15 on Tuesday January 17, 2017 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 10am on Tuesday at St. James the Less RC Church – 36 Lincoln Ave., Jamesburg, NJ 08831 followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery – Staten Island.
