Obituary of Christopher M. Ernst, Sr.

Christopher M. Ernst, Sr. - 46-Monroe Township, NJ Christopher M. Ernst, Sr., 46, of Monroe Township, NJ died on Wednesday January 4, 2017. Christopher was born in Perth Amboy, NJ and resided in Monroe Township, NJ for most of his life. He earned his Associates Degree from Middlesex County College in Applied Science where he was inducted in the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology from NJIT. He held Professional Land Surveyor and Professional Planner licenses from the State of New Jersey. He was employed as a land surveyor for Thomas M. Ernst & Associates, Inc. for 20 years. Christopher had articles published in the April/May 2009 and July/August 2010 issues of the American Surveyor Magazine. He loved hiking, being outdoors and making movies. Christopher was a dedicated family man. Christopher was preceded in death by his mother Patricia A. Ernst (2005), his wife, Emily Hefner-Ernst (2011) and his brother Thomas Patrick Ernst (2004). Christopher is survived by his father, Thomas Ernst, his son, Christopher Ernst, Jr., and his fiancee Kristina Lowe, all of Monroe Township, NJ. Visitation will be 4-8pm on Thursday January 12, 2017 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home Inc. Funeral Services will begin at 8:45am on Friday January 13, 2107 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, followed by interment in Holy Cross Burial Park - South Brunswick
