Obituary of John A. Feretich

John A. Feretich died on Tuesday December 13, 2016 at the University Medical Center of Princeton @ Plainsboro. He was 85 years old. Mr. Feretich was born in New York City and was raised in Graves End, Brooklyn. He later lived in Queens for many years before moving to Virginia Beach, VA in 1985. He also resided in Manchester for 10 years and has resided in Monroe Twp. since 2014. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a secretary for William Spencer & Sons in Newark before working as a manager for Lillian Vernon Corp. in Virginia Beach. He retired in 1995. He was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus for Champlain Council #441 in Queens. He was a former parishioner of St. Bartholomew RC Church in Queens where he was a very active parishioner including being President of the Holy Name Society, President of the St. Vincent dePaul Society, and President of the Home School Association. Something very special to him was the few years he was involved in the Power of the Rosary Hour that was broadcast over the radio. He also enjoyed boating and building models, especially with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Catherine P. (Mulvey) Feretich of Monroe Twp., his son, John G. Feretich and his wife Carol of Monroe Twp., his sister, Toni Rance of Woolwich Twp., three grandchildren, Nicole, Francesca, and Vincent, his beloved niece, Melanie Tanacredi and her spouse, three nephews, Dr. Ronald Rance, Paul Rance, and Brent Rance and their spouses, 11 Grand Nieces and Nephews, a Great Grand Nephew, and many other extended family members.

A memorial mass will take place at 11:00am on Monday December 19, 2016 at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, 185 Applegarth Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 followed by Committal and Entombment of his cremated remains at the Brgd. Gen. William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown.
