Obituary of Richard I. Atlas

Richard I. Atlas, 81, died on Tuesday December 6, 2016 at the Cranbury Center in Monroe Township. Richard was born in Brooklyn and lived most of his life in New Jersey. He served as a medic in the National Guard. Richard was head of the Greek club at Rossmoor, he loved traveling and visiting his home in Hilton Head Island.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Atlas (1999).
He is survived by his son Charles Fertonardo of Monroe Twp., his daughter Marlene Giovino of Brooklyn, one sister Anita Mendel and her husband Julie of Florida and two granddaughters: Krysten and Kimberly Fertonardo.
Visitation will be from 3-7pm on Thursday December 8, 2016 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555. Funeral services will be 10am on Friday December 9, 2016 at the funeral home followed by interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery – East Millstone.
