Obituary of Richard G. Edelkraut, Sr.

Richard G. Edelkraut, Sr. died on Sunday November 27, 2016 in Sunrise, FL. He was 74 years old. Mr. Edelkraut was born in New York, raised in Passaic and lived in Marlboro for over 30 years. He has resided in Port St. Lucie since 2012. He had a long career as an electrical contractor and retired in 2012. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Rita (Cerniglia) Edelkraut and his brother George Richard Edelkraut. He is survived by five devoted children, Debra E. Gulick and her husband Mark of Monroe Twp., Denise M. Dotti of Chesapeake, VA., Darcie Antrim and her husband Jon of Phoenix, AZ, Doreen Rubio and her husband Ramon of Davie, FL, and Richard G. Edlekraut, Jr. and his wife Cathy of Port St. Lucie, FL, one sister, Carolyn Santangelo and her husband Silvio of Parsippany, NJ, fourteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many other extended family members. A memorial gathering will be Sunday December 11, 2016 from 4-7pm at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc.205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ08831, www.demarcofuneralhome.com. A memorial service will take place at the conclusion of the gathering hours at 7pm at the funeral home.
