Ronald J. Petrocelli died on Friday November 18, 2016 at Centra-State Medical Center in Freehold. He was 87 years old. Mr. Petrocelli was born in Queens and resided in Greenwich Village, NYC for most of his life. He has resided in Greenbriar @ Whittingham, Monroe Twp. since 1999. He was a longshoreman for the ILA Local 1. He later was a vice president for various shipping companies. He retired in 1991. He was an avid woodworker and was a member and teacher for the Stained Glass Club in Greenbriar @ Whittingham. He also enjoyed painting and playing the piano. He was pre-deceased by his wife Natalia E. (Escorcia) Petrocelli in 2012. He is survived by four children, John Petrocelli of New York City, Joseph Petrocelli and his wife Lisa of Jamesburg, James Petrocelli and his wife Laura of Norwood, and Coralia Perez and her husband Alex of Gainesville, FL, two sisters, Joan Butt of Staten Island, and Kathryn Petrocelli of New York City, five grandchildren, Kristin Mingo and her husband Tad, Amanda Petrocelli, James Petrocelli, Lauren Adamucci and her husband Nick, and Louis Petrocelli, and many other extended family members. Visitation will be 2-6pm on Sunday November 20, 2016 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 – 732-521-0555 – www.demarcofuneralhome.com. Funeral services will begin at 9:30am on Monday November 21, 2016 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 10:00am at St. James the Less RC Church, Jamesburg followed by Committal and Cremation at the chapel at Holy Cross Burial Park Crematory, South Brunswick. For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to The Cancer Institute of New Jersey, www.cinj.org.
